Annie Fletcher, 89, of Waco, joined her Lord, her husband, L.W. Fletcher; her son, Jerry Fletcher; son-in-law, Robert Hammit; and her grandson, Keith Fletcher in her eternal home on August 13, 2010.

Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Brad Herridge, pastor of Bosqueville Baptist Church, officiating. Interment beside her beloved husband will follow at Waco Memorial Park.

Visitation will be 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 16 at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

Mrs. Fletcher was born December 29, 1920 into a large and loving family who worked hard. She instilled this tradition into her children as she and L.W. raised them. She worked and retired from J.M. Woods Manufacturing after 24 years of service and also worked for Wolff's Garment before that.

After she and Mr. Fletcher retired, they enjoyed many many weekends camping. There were charter members of Kountry Kampers of Waco. Mrs. Fletcher devotedly cared for Mr. Fletcher until his death in 2000.

After his death, she lived at home and took care of herself and continued to be the matriarch of her family. She was a member of Bosqueville Baptist Church and attended until her health would not permit her attendance.

Mrs. Fletcher is survived by her children. Daughter, Virginia "Ginger" Hammit of Bosqueville; two sons, Larry Fletcher and wife, Barbara of Robinson and Danny Fletcher and wife, Kaye of Speegleville; grandchildren, Alicia Reid and husband, Troy of Robinson, Robert Fletcher and wife, Susan of Lorena, Tracy Fletcher Glietman and husband, Ron of Robinson and Michael Fletcher of Mart and his fiancé. Jennifer Currier; great-grandchildren, Bethany Fletcher of Lorena, Sawyer Reid and Tory Reid of Robinson, Chloe Williams of Waco; two step-grandchildren, Cyndi Alejo and husband, Enri of Waco and Robert Hammit, Jr. of Austin; four step great grandchildren, Kayla Hammit, C.J. Hammit both of Dennison, Colt Reid of Waco and Brittany Hann of China Spring; four great great grandchildren, Zoie, Ryan, Evan, Tessa, Asister Maxine Whitney of Amarillo; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Tindell, Troy Reid, C. J. Hammit, Robert Hammit, Jr., Robert Fletcher and Ron Glietman. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Bosqueville Baptist Church Deacons, Enri Alejo, Michael Fletcher and Colt Reid.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Shayla Edwards, Mrs. Fletcher's hospice nurse.
