Ardas Glenn Alexander, Sr. passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2024 due to complications from numerous health issues.
Ardas was born in Longview, Texas on January 6, 1951 to parents Zelma Herrell and Stephen Alexander, both deceased. Both of his siblings, Edna Price and James Smith, were very close to Ardas and are no longer with us as well. We pray that the whole family is laughing and having a good time visiting each other in Heaven.
Ardas enjoyed life and worked hard as a landscaper and sanitation specialist for many years. He could tell you the name of most trees and the best plants to have in your yard or home. He loved music and had countless tapes, albums, and CDs that he and his grandchildren would arrange and organize to listen to everyday. Family coming together to eat, play music, and talk about the Dallas Cowboys made Ardas the happiest man in the world.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Alexander; son, Jarvis Alexander; daughter, Felisha Bates; grandchildren, Amaras, Jesten, Aleman, Essaryah, Azariah, Macabeus, and Ophelia; plus his four great-grandchildren.
Ardas will reside next to his son, Ardas Jr. at Oakwood Cemetery.
