Arthur Neal

Arthur Lee Neal Jr., age 60, passed in peace on September 10, 2020.

Arthur was born on August 5, 1960 in Waco, Texas to Arthur Lee and Ella Mae Neal Sr. He was lovingly referred to as “Uncle Bud” by his nieces and nephews.

Arthur accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Church of Christ at Elm Mott until he departed this life on September 10, 2020.

Arthur attended schools in the Waco Independent School District and graduated from Waco High School in 1979. He worked for many years at Syzygy as a Financial Analyst until he retired.

On September 18, 2002, Arthur married Jacquelin (Jackie) Thompson, and they shared many wonderful years together enjoying life and traveling until his health began to fail.

Arthur is preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, survived by his devoted wife Jacquelin (Jackie) Thompson-Neal; parents, Arthur Lee and Ella Mae Neal Sr.; two sisters and two brother-in-laws, three daughters and one son-in-law; three grandsons, three granddaughters as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and devoted childhood friend, Steve Montgomery.

The family would like to personally thank his care team at Brazos Kidney Center, Hillcrest Hospice, Dr. Ronald L. Wilson, Dr. Robert Go, Dr. Manuel Fernandez Palmer, Dr. Micah S. Meyer, and 4 South Medical teams.

Visitation will be Friday, September 18, 8:00 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. at OakCrest Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 19 at Oakwood Cemetery (Section P). Due to Covid, the family requests for all to wear face covering masks during the service. Bro. Dannie Archie will officiate.
