Arturo Lopez

Arturo “Big Arthur” Lopez, of Waco, born May 5, 1955 went to his own Heavenly party on July 8th, 2021. Arthur was known for his wit, humor, love of Harleys, classic cars, and most of all, his love for the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tomas and Jesusa Lopez; grandparents, Papa Louis and Mamá Anastasia; brothers, Jhonny, Tomas Jr.; and sister, Frances Edge.

He is survived by his daughters, Jessica Lopez of Waco and April Tandy and husband, Reno, of Waco; step-sons, Hugo Galvez & Hector Galvez; step daughters, Esther Aviles & Sonia Galvez; and his former, spouse Ana Lopez. He also leaves behind his grandchildren & great-grandchildren; siblings, Raymond Lopez and wife, Mary, Louis Lopez and wife, Isabel, Juanita Criado and friend, Mark, Teresa Almanza, Alice Rodriguez and husband, Vicente, Robert Lopez and wife, Janie, Richard Lopez, and Carlos Lopez and wife, Cindy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and an abundance of beloved friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 14 from 6 to 8pm at OakCrest Funeral Home with a prayer service starting at 6pm by Pastor Darrell Price. Services will be Thursday, July 15 at 10am at Family Worship Center. A Celebration of Life will be held from 11-2pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in the hall.
