Rev. Austin (Deacon) Carrigan, 92, of Waco passed away Saturday, September 26, 2009. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at Rosemound Cemetery with Pastor Darrell Price and Pastor Bill Daughtery officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

Rev. Carrigan was born in Murray County, Tennessee to William Lee Carrigan and Addie Mae Mullins Carrigan; he was a long time minister and evangelist in Waco and Ft. Worth. He married Oma Faye Stephens Brewer February 26, 1962.


Rev. Carrigan was preceded in death by son-law- Kenneth Lipsey; grandsons Kenneth Wayne Lipsey and David Wayne Lipsey;

Rev. Carrigan is survived his wife Oma Faye (Doodle) Carrigan of Waco; sons Richard and wife Veeda of Mart, Gary and wife Kay of Hewitt; daughters Ann Lipsey of Waco, Brenda Carrigan of Amarillo; brother Dude Carrigan of Tioga, Texas;
granddaughters Tina Carrigan of Mart, Edie Peterson of Speegleville,Bianca Carrigan of Hewitt ; great grandsons Trey and Richard Peterson of Speegleville, Jimmy Lipsey of Dayton, Texas and many nieces and nephews.
