Barbara Davis

Devoted sister, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Barbara Davis, 79, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024 in Waco, Texas with her family by her side.

Barbara was born Tuesday, Feb. 15, 1944 in Waco, Texas to Benjamin Forrest Jackoskie and Thelma Lucille Gilmore.

Barbara loved being surrounded by family and friends any chance she could. Often recounting countless stories of the many people she would laugh and sing with throughout the years. She enjoyed listening to live music and was an avid country music fan.

In 1989, she earned a degree from Four C College for Business and later earned a CDL license. She also worked as a security guard.

Barbara was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Forrest Jackoskie.

Survived by sister, Patricia Jones; daughter, Lisa Rogers; son, Chad Davis; and grandchildren, Kenneth, Ethan, Luke, Hunter, Benjamin, and Brandon.

Barbara will especially be remembered for her love of life, her warm and friendly spirit, and the infectious warmth and comfort she provided others.

A memorial will be held in her honor Sunday, March 3, 2024 at the Salt & Light Church, 391 I-35, Abbott, TX 76621 at 2pm.
