Barbara Hill went home to be with the Lord after a long battle with Alzheimer's on Wednesday, February 5, 2014.

Funeral services will be 12 noon Saturday, February 8, 2014 at OakCrest Funeral Home with Pastor Roy Marshall officiating.

A visitation with the family will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at OakCrest Funeral Home 4520 Bosque Blvd. Waco, TX.

Barbara Jean Miles Hill was born to AC and Orene (Miller) Miles on December 11, 1937 in Waco. She attended Waco Tech (University) High School and graduated in 1955. She married Wayne Lee Hill on February 18th 1955. Barbara and Wayne would have celebrated fifty-nine years together.

Barbara was a devoted follower of Jesus, and her life was defined by her relationship with her Savior. Her heart was filled with compassion, evidenced by her love for the disabled and her desire to minister to those in prison. She was involved in crisis pregnancy counselling and prison ministry for a number of years. Barbara was a wonderful mother, a devoted wife and a blessing to all those who knew her.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Alvis Charles Miles. She is survived by her husband, her three sons, Alvis and wife, Dawn, Darrell and wife, Cindy, and Steven and wife, Lora. She is also survived by her three grandsons, Benjamin, Nathan and Daniel Hill, and granddaughter, Sierra Hill.
