Barbara Hilliard, 71, of Hewitt, passed away Saturday surrounded by her friends and family. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, April 10, at OakCrest Funeral Home with Chaplain Charles Howard officiating. Visitation with the family will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Barbara was born December 18, 1942 in Ft. Worth, to Joseph P. and Iva McKee Jones. She married Leonard N. Hilliard in 1961. Barbara worked for attorneys for several years and her knowledge that she gained was known and appreciated by many. Most recently, she was employed by First Title Company of Waco for sixteen years as a Senior Escrow Officer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Andrea Gramm.
Barbara is survived by her husband; son, Scott Hilliard and wife Scharon of New Market, Md.; three granddaughters, Chelsea Hilliard of New Market, MD., Raechel Gramm and Shelby Gramm of Springfield, MO.; grandson, Justin Hilliard of New Market, MD. She is also survived by a brother, Frank Jones of Reno, Nevada and a sister, Sharon Cassell of Albuquerque, NM.
The family requests that memorials be made to Fuzzy Friends of Waco and American Cancer Society. They also want to send special thanks to Hillcrest Hospice.
