BC Anness, 55, of Waco, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. Services were held at 4 p.m. Friday, July 16, at the OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel with Randy Woelfel officiating.
BC was born to Sylvia and Carlton Anness in Cameron. BC served the community in his early years as a police officer. BC was well known in Central Texas as a leader in Information Technology, one of his many achievements was pioneering the creation of Data Networks for linking several McLennan county school districts, the first of its kind in Texas. One of his many passions included motor cycling. He loved the open road and traveled much of the country in all kinds of weather and terrain, with his loving and brave wife, Helen. He enjoyed working on and modifying his motorcycles, and those of his friends, he was a handyman without exception, and seemed to have professional level knowledge of just about everything, whether it was technical or not. He was always thinking of ways of improving anything that he might be working on or repairing, leaving things in a much better state than when he found them. He was constantly looking for a challenge. His passions included helping others and he never wanted anything in return. His selflessness and generosity was readily apparent and impressive. BC will be sorely missed, by his family and friends. His passing was rather abrupt and very unexpected, leaving many who love him in shock and grief. He was a loving husband as well as a dedicated father.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Sharon.
BC is survived by his wife, Helen; daughters, Jennifer and Sherry; sons, Brian, Steve, David and Patrick; daughters-in-law Heather, Katie and Taleena; his nephews, Johnny and Joey; and a host of dear friends.
This was one of those unique persons whom one rarely has the opportunity of knowing. May he rest in eternal peace.
