Bea Grobaker went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 10, 2007 after a short illness. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Oakcrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque, Waco, Tx.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Western HeightsBaptist Church with Dr. John Collier officiating. Burial will be at 2 pm at Buffalo Cemetery in Buffalo,Texas.

Bea was born in Buffalo, Tx. October 12, 1918 to W.M (Bill) Bell and Georgia (Snell) Bell, one of three children. She married Delmar Ardon Tacker and they had two children. She owned and operated beauty salons in Waco for many years. She had fixed a friends hair on Saturday before her heart attack the following Friday.

Bea was a very strong and independent lady. She drove her little Camry around to do the things she did for the Joy Class as Minister Chairman at Western Heights Baptist Church where she had been a member for some 30 years.

She was a member of the Eastern Star, Walter Baldwin Chapter #929 for over 25 yrs and McLennan, Chapter #639 for the past 9 yrs. She served as every star point but one and several other posts. Bea was a very loving person and loved doing for others. She adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She loved her cat and dog as they gave her many hours of enjoyment. She will be missed by all that knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, W.M. (Bill) Bell and Georgia Bell Phillips; her brother, Melvin (Boad) Bell; sister-in-law, Virginia Bell; brother-in-law, Ed Tacker, and a very special person, Miss Dollie Bell.

She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Shilling and husband Jimmy; son, Bobby Tacker and wife Cindy of Benbrook; nine grandchildren, Tommy Shilling and wife Ali, of Bosqueville, Randy Shilling and wife Kim, of Elm Mott, Bobby Shilling and wife Tonya, of West, Matt Tacker, Clete Tacker, and Blake and wife Dawn Tacker of Ft.Worth, Nikki, Ryan, and Kyle Tacker of Benbrook.

Also surviving are 15 great-grandchildren, Kendall, Kara, Kacie , Cole, Suzy, Brad, and Brandt Shilling. Blaine, Loren, Brock, Cade, Madison, Cal, Emery, and Mark Tacker.

Other survivors include a sister, Thera Mae Tacker; two nieces, Betty McCullough and Cathy Hickman and husband David; a nephew, John Tacker of Wortham; 3 great nieces and 4 great nephews; and 3 special cousins, Ruth Smith, Jody Holder, and special friend, Cherylane Carter.

Pallbearers will be grandsons: Tommy Shilling, Randy Shilling, Bobby Shilling, Clete Tacker, Blake Tacker, Ryne Tacker, Kyle Tacker.
