Berna Moeller

Berna Marie Moeller, 76 of Waco passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2013 after a brief illness. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Oakwood Cemetery. The graveside service will be officiated by The Rt. Rev’d Frank M. Gentsch Jr. The family will receive visitors Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Oakcrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard.

Marie was born on February 15, 1937 to Vernon C. and Blanche (Morris) Harrison in Clarksville, Texas, and graduated from Waco High School in 1955. She worked many years as a secretary and bookkeeper in Waco. Gardening, yard work and making beautiful Christmas decorations were a few of Marie’s favorite things. Marie was always ready to share a smile and a kind word with anyone who she met.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Mary Ann Brown.

Marie is survived by her three children, Vickie Rumrill and husband, Ron, Cindy Thornton and husband, Larry, and Kyle Moeller. Marie loved and adored her granddaughter, Jennifer Molina. Marie is also survived by two nephews.

The family wishes to thank Lisa Miller and Jessie Mae Brown, her long term care givers, the staff of Regent Care Nursing Home, and the 3rd floor nursing staff at Providence Hospital, for their care and attention in her last few days.
