Bernard Carl "Sonny" Vieregge, Jr., 59, of Waco, passed away at his home, Monday, Feb. 28, 2011. Graveside services will be Thursday, March 3, at 11 a.m. at Rosemound Cemetery with the Rev. Judy Lewis officiating. The family will receive visitors 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Oakcrest Funeral Home.
Carl was born June 29, 1951, in Waco, Texas, to Elizabeth Myrtle (Ellison) Vieregge and Bernard Carl Vieregge, Sr. He was united in marriage to Kathie Marie Brown on June 17, 1972.
Carl was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
He is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Vieregge of Waco; four sons, Bernard Carl Vieregge, III, Timothy Vieregge, Jason Vieregge, and Jerry Vieregge all of Waco; three sisters, Ginny Jackoskie of Waco, Carla Montgomery and husband, Robert, of Keller, Texas, and Vicky Vieregge of Missouri City, Texas; one brother, Ricky Vieregge of Waco; 10 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He will always be loved and dearly missed by those whose heart and life he touched.
