Lois Bertha Lawson, age 90, of Waco, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 in a local hospital. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 29th at the China Spring United Methodist Church with the Rev. Denise Rogers officiating. Friends may come by OakCrest Funeral Home between 8 am and 8 p.m. Thursday to sign the Guest Book.
Mrs. Lawson was born in China Spring, TX, on August 26, 1916 to Watt and Bertha Ferguson. She grew up in Speegleville, TX, and was married to Robert Neal Lawson on December 16, 1933. She lived at various times in Speegleville, China Spring, Robinson, and Waco.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, her brother, Travis Ferguson, and son-in-law, George Leonard Moore.
She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Moore of Arlington, son Travis and wife Betty of Burnet, son Steve and wife Brenda of Tyler, son Ben and wife Kim of Kinder, LA, and son Rodney of Waco. She is loved and will be missed by her family which also includes 11 grand children, 10 great grand children and 2 great-great grand children and extended family.
