Betty Rose Morse Brogdon, 77, died Wednesday at a Waco nursing home. Although she was born and reared in Waco, she resided for 40 years in San Antonio. The funeral service in San Antonio will be at 11 am Tuesday at Dellcrest Funeral Home, 2023 South WW White, followed by burial at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Those who are unable to attend the service are invited to share a meal and reception at Faith Assembly of God at 8023 Huebner Road in Northwest San Antonio. Visitation will be 10 to 11 am Tuesday at Dellcrest.
She graduated from Waco High School in 1948, attended 4-C Business College and worked as a secretary before marrying Ernest Sommer Brogdon, a graduate of Hankamer Business School at Baylor University, in 1952.
Survivors include three sons, Lonnie Brogdon of Nashville, Tenn., David Brogdon of Waco, and John Brogdon of San Antonio, a daughter Kathryn L. Brogdon of Waco, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, as well as a brother, Harry R. Morse Jr., and six nieces and six nephews.
