William D. Marsh Sr., 90, of Waco passed away Friday. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at OakCrest Funeral Home with Mr. Bert Mercer officiating. Burial will follow at Valley Mills Cemetery.
Mr. Marsh was born in Hugo, Oklahoma to Charles and Nettie Boydston Marsh. He was a retired Army Major having served in WWII and Korea. He was a charter member of Woodway First United Methodist Church.
He farmed and ranched from 1962 to 1994 in the McLennan, Falls, and Bosque County area; he also had worked for the Jacobs – Cathey Company.
Mr. Marsh married Mary Nelda Tindell December 23, 1940 in Hewitt, Texas.
He was preceded in death by great grandson Colby Wilmoth and brother Douglas Marsh.
Mr. Marsh is survived by his wife Mary; daughter Nancy D. Foster and husband Charles of Franklin, Tenn.; sons William D. Marsh Jr. and wife Barbara of Waco, Mark Marsh and wife Wanda of Tuscola, Tx; brother Donald Marsh and wife Jeanette of Vernon; sister-in-law Annie Marsh of Waco; sister Mildred Reinhardt of Georgetown; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
In Lieu of flowers memorials maybe made to Woodway First United Methodist Church.
