Bill Skiles, 62 of China Spring passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2007 at a local hospital. Services will be 2 pm Saturday at OakCrest Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the China Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 7 to 9 pm at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Bill was born on June 22, 1944 Abilene to L.B. and Opal (Langley) Skiles. He married the love of his life, Karen Winkelmann on July 3, 1987 in China Spring. He was preceded in death by parents and a daughter, LeeAnn Skiles.
Bill is survived by his wife, Karen of China Spring; son, William "Billy" Skiles of Waco; daughter, Kristy McCollum Helm of China Spring; granddaughters, Lindsey Helm and Izabel Skiles; sisters; Patti Kindy and husband Bob of Conroe; Frances Hill and husband Bill of Fort Worth; mother and father in law, Wilburn and Dovie Winkelmann of China Spring; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Darlene and Jim Gorham of Waco; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He is also survived by his 5 devoted fuzzy friends, Callie, Gi Gi, Missy Priss, Kitty Boy and Chester.
Pallbearers will be Mark Alexander, Garland Nolan, Ernie Reed, Kenneth Wells, Glynn Maddux, Gary Butler, Wayne Schroeder and Kevin Meek.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Harrell, Wade Segars and Tommy Segars.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to China Spring Volunteer Fire Department, Waco Human Society and American Heart Association.
Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather brother and Friend.
