Billie Jean Estes

Billie Jean Estes was born in Waco, Texas on August 21, 1934. She was preceded in death by her parents, O.H. and Hettie Hammond; husband, Tommy Estes, Sr.; and son, Brad Higginbotham. Billie attended Waco schools and graduated from Waco High School in 1952. After high school, she went to business college and worked for Amicable Life Insurance Company for eight years. On July 10, 1964 she married Tommy J. Estes, Sr. Billie loved to listen to music, often having it on while cooking many delicious meals for the family and friends. She spent many days with the family on the houseboat they owned on Lake Waco. Billie also volunteered with her son’s school PTA. Family was most important to her; the love she held for her grandchildren was most precious. She is survived by her son, Tommy J. Estes, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Berkley; and grandchildren, Claire Higginbotham Chaney, Ridge Estes, and Tenley Estes.
