Billie Margaret Reeves Morgan, 84, went home to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Wednesday, June 8, 2011. She passed away in a local hospital. Family and friends are invited to visitation from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, June 10, at Oak Crest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard in Waco.
A graveside service, followed by burial, will be conducted at Chapel Hill Memorial Park at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 11, with Rev. Jim Gray officiating.
Billie Margaret Reeves Morgan was born March 3, 1927 in Moody, Texas to Obra Lucille Cagle Reeves and Ordia Ellison Reeves. One other child, a loving brother, Bobby Gene Reeves, completed the family. The Reeves family lived in Moody before moving to the Speegleville community, where Billie Margaret lived for the remainder of her life. She married her loving and faithful husband, John Thomas Morgan, Jr., on January 7, 1950. They had been married for over 53 years at the time of his death in 2003.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother.
Mrs. Morgan was a member of First Baptst Church of Moody, and for a number of years had attended the First Baptist Church of Woodway.
Mrs. Morgan is survived by her sister-in-law, Virginia Reeves of China Spring. She is also survived by two aunts, Clora Lee Cagle of Moody and Janie Cagle of Lorena, numerous nieces and nephews, and a large number of cousins with whom she enjoyed visiting, shopping, dinners, and reunions. In addition, she is survived by a host of friends in the Speegleville community, as well as friends throughout the area.
