Billy Bigham

Billy E. Bigham, Sr., 78, of Waco, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2014 in a Waco hospital.

Funeral services will be 2 pm Wednesday, at Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Dr. Bruce Cox officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 7-9 pm at OakCrest Funeral Home.

Billy was born on November 19, 1935 to Alice Beatrice Yates and Robert Edward Bigham. He and his wife, Mae Darlene McCown, married August 23, 1952. He was a loving father and grandfather.

He was an excellent carpenter and handyman who could fix anything.

Billy and his family operated a remodeling business. In his free time he loved to fish.

Survivors include his children, Tommy Joe Bigham & wife Deanna, Jenny Mansfield, David Earl Bigham, Robert Bigham, and wife Debbie; daughter-in-law, Sandy Bigham; brother, Johnny Bigham and wife, Martha; 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mae Darlene; son, Billy, Jr; and 2 sisters, Ellner Rae Allsup and Dorris Marie Boatman.

The family wishes to express special thanks to the Providence CHF Clinic, especially to his nurse, Donna.
