Billy Gene Davis, 75, of Waco, passed away Monday, December 3, 2007 at his residence surrounded by his family.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7, at OakCrest Funeral Home with the Rev. David Hardage officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

Billy was born in Robinson, the son of Jeff and Erma (Rancher) Davis. He married Jo Lee in Waco on September 24, 1955. He was a member of Park Lake Drive Baptist Church. He retired in 1996 from Central Freight Lines after 28 years of service. After his retirement, he kept busy donating his time to help others in need. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be greatly missed by his loving wife and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jeff Davis, Jr. and two sisters, Kathleen Reed and Irene Hatter.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jo; daughter, Peggy Sunday of Waco; sons, Ron of Waco and Randy and wife, Diann of Valley Mills; brother, Ralph Davis of Waco; sisters, Bobbye Aldridge of Conroe and Merle Goosensen of Sealy; granddaughters, Sabrina Fuentes, Kim Ayers, Jayme Davis, Tina Diaz, Felicia Thomas, and Kristi Trammell; and several great-grandchildren.
