Blanche Boggs

Eva Blanche Davis Boggs was born July 13, 1919 in Hastings, Oklahoma, to Walter and Grace Davis. The third of five children, she is the last of her generation in that family. She married Durward Boggs November 25, 1938, in Haskell, TX.

Together they had four children, Ken (Carolyn) Boggs of Lantana, TX; David (Jeanie) Boggs of Sherman, TX; Carol Boggs of Austin, TX; and Dan (Sue) Boggs of Smithville, TX.

Her life was made more interesting by the continuing support she provided to her husband in his service as a minister of the gospel. Through the years many benefited from her hospitality and her in depth teaching of Scripture. She served as a role model, mentor, and friend to countless Christians throughout her 94 years of life.

On October,18, 2013, she was escorted to the waiting arms of her Lord Jesus. Gracious in life, she will continue to teach in death as the memories flow freely. Blanche is survived by all of her children, 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends that have sustained her throughout the years.

Visitation will be at OakCrest Funeral Home, Monday evening, October 21, 2013, from 6 - 8 p.m.

A funeral service will be held at the Lake Shore Church of Christ on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 10 a.m.
