Blas Alvarado, 22, of Waco, passed away Friday, August 30, 2003, in a Waco hospital after an accidental shooting. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Wednesday, at St. Francis Catholic Church with Father Sergio Lopez officiating.
Burial will be later in the St. Martin Cemetery, St. Martin, Mexico.
Rosary will be at 7 p.m., Tuesday, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque. Visitation with the family will follow.
Blas was born February 3, 1981, in St. Martin, to Salvador and Elvia (Torres) Alvarado. He worked as a lawn keeper in Waco, and attended St. Francis Catholic Church.
A devoted son, brother, nephew, and cousin, Blas will be greatly missed. He was a good, hard working person who always had a good attitude and liked everyone. His family loved him dearly and they have a strong faith that he is now in Heaven watching over them.
Besides his parents, Blas is survived by six brothers, Justo, Maximo, Romulo, Agustin, Pedro, and Eladio Alvarado; two sisters, Maria Humberta Alvardo and Maria Asuncion Alvardo, all of St. Martin, Mexico; aunt and uncle, Jacinta and Noel Jaimes of Waco, and his cousins in Waco.
