Bobbie Diane Clayton Perkins, 55, was the fifth child born to Superintendent & Missionary Major Clayton, Jr. of Waco, Texas.
Bobbie attended Waco Public Schools graduating from Richfield High in 1975. She also attended McLennan Community College and Devry University. She was actively pursuing her Bachelor of Business degree until her demise. Bobbie has a very rich and impressive work history.
Her professional career included banking, working for Republic & Fidelity banks, and served as an early childhood educator and After School Director for Waco EOAC Charter School. Until her health failed, the most fulfilling time of her career was serving many years as Director of Student Services and Enrollment for Rapoport Academy in Waco, Texas. She served on the Board of Tustees for Gospel Lighthouse Ministeries, Inc.
Bobbie was a lover of people and would give her very last to those in need. She was truly a people person and would light up a room spreading fun and laughter throughout the span of any affair or occasion. Bobbie was caring and big lover of children of all ages. Her passion was shopping, decorating her house, and modeling.
Bobbie met and married her husband in 1986. To this union, one child was born who was the love of her life.
She leaves to cherish her memory of a loving husband of 25 years, Taylor Perkins; daughter Rhaquia Dionne Perkins; step-daughter Tajada Crawford of Dallas, Texas; two grandchildren Kenley Crawford and Khiden Howard of Dallas, Texas; an adopted set of grandchildren Amari and Tyler Clayton; her parents Superintendent Major Clayton and Missionary Nettie B. Clayton; one sister, Sister Sharon Brown (Michael) of Waco, Texas; three brothers: Ernest Clayton (Gwenda) of Ft. Worth, Texas; Ronald Clayton (Teresa) of Waco, Texas; Marvin Clayton (Sharon) of Waco, Texas ; a devoted niece Sirika Clayton, a special nephew Karlos Clayton both of Waco, Texas; a loving best friend Debra ("Bean") Bynum; faithful friends Dr(s). Bob & Nancy Grayson and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Two brothers preceded her death: Major Clayton, III and Elder Willie Clayton (Rene') of Waco, Texas.
