Bobby Francis Plemons

Bobby Francis Plemons, 87, of Waco, passed away October 5, 2017.

Graveside services with Military Honors will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, at Oakwood Cemetery, with Pastor Bruce Worley officiating.

Mr. Plemons was born in Waco in a home in the 500 block of North 5th Street. He attended Sanger Avenue Elementary School, West Junior High School, Waco High School (Class of 1948), and graduated from Baylor University in 1955. Afterwards, he served in the U.S. Marines Corps during the Korean War.

Bob's first job was with Gulf Oil in Austin for three years then at Sears and Mobil Oil Co. in Dallas, and lastly at Union Carbide Corporation in Houston, retiring after 25 years. After lived in Houston and Missouri City for over 40 years, Bob retired to his home in Waco in 2004.

He is survived by his sister, Nancy R. Smith, and several cousins.
