Bobby Etycl Mashburn, 80, of Hewitt passed away Saturday, April 3, 2010, at his home. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 5, at the OakCrest Funeral Home. There will be a graveside service at Waco Memorial Park at 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 6, with the Rev. Hubert Austin officiating.
Bobby was born March 14, 1930 in Merkel, TX., to Clarence Willie Mashburn and Loma Bankston. Bobby worked as a merchandiser in the drug sales industry, retiring from McKesson Drug Company. He married Dorothy Archer in Abilene, TX., on December 3, 1949. Bobby was a member of Hewitt United Methodist Church and the Pairs and Spares Sunday School class.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; son, Rusty Mashburn, grandson, Duane Mashburn, and son-in-law, Gary Willie.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy; son, Mike Mashburn and wife Brenda; daughter, Karla Willie; sister, Aileen Tackett; grandsons, Michael Mashburn and wife Christy and Evan Mashburn; granddaughters, Tracey Allen and husband Reginald and Stephanie Willie; and four great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Bluebonnet Hospice as a special thanks to the hospice staff.
