Brenda Moon

Brenda Moon, 61, of Lorena passed away July 9, 2017. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 14 at 10 am at OakCrest Funeral Home, with Rev. Roy Marshall officiating.

Brenda was born on June 26, 1956 in Waco, Texas. She attended University High School and Truman Beauty School. Brenda was self employed as a cosmetologist for over 20 years. On August 30, 1974 she married Steve Moon and together they had two children. Brenda loved her family, especially her four grandchildren, being outdoors and serving others.

Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Moon, brother, Randy Lane, father, Matthew Lane and grandmother, Cleo Brink.

She is survived by her son, Dustin Moon and wife, Carrie of Maryland; daughter, Ashley Posey and husband Andy of Lorena; mother, Virginia Spencer and husband Jim of Hewitt; sister, Vickie Gorgas and husband Paul of Fort Worth; brother, Rusty Lane of Fort Worth; four grandchildren and the loves of her life, Ethan and Owen Moon and Maicee and Allison Posey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
