Byron Fife

Daryl Fife, 70, of West, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at his residence surrounded by his family.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, August 22, 2008 at the OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel with Dwight Sharp officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

Daryl was born January 16, 1938 in Kansas City, Kansas. He grew up in Pittsburg, Texas and moved to the Waco area in 1990. He worked as a welder most of his life until he married Jackie Walters in 1994, then together they enjoyed doing wood work and attending craft shows.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Roy and Feryl Fife.

Daryl is survived by his wife of 14 years, Jackie Fife; daughters, Tammie Sharp and husband, Dwight of Mt. Pleasant, Teresa Staples of Daingerfield and Gina Pustejovsky and husband, Billy of West; grandchildren, Brandy Fife, Cody Sharp and Colby Sharp all from Mt. Pleasant, Eric Staples and Dillon Staples of Daingerfield, Kyle Ellinger, Ryan Ellinger and Cody Ellinger all of West; great-grandchildren, Gaven Fife and Corben Craig of Mt. Pleasant.
