Calvin Polster

Calvin Walter Polster, 82, of Waco, Texas passed away January 3, 2018. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 8, 2018 at OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, January 7, 2018 at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard.

Calvin was born March 20, 1935 in Benjamin, Texas to Walter Adolph and Bertha (Jeske) Polster. He served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. He retired from General Tire in Waco after 31 years of service. He was a Christian and a faithful student of the Bible. He enjoyed gardening and fishing.

Calvin was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joy Polster; and infant daughter.

Calvin is survived by a son, Calvin Wayne Polster; daughter, Phyllis Joy Latham and husband, John Logan; five grandchildren, Jacob Sherwood; Krista Bowman and husband, Payton; Elaine Sauls Luna and husband, Julian; Andrew Sauls; and Logan Latham; six great grandchildren; three sisters, Irene Greenhaw; Geraldine Penick and husband, David; and Caroline Graham; and many extended family members.
