Carl Dean Barrington Sr. 61, of Speegleville passed away Wednesday. Services will be 10 am Wednesday August 29, 2007 at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
with Rev. Joe Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at Dawson Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
Carl was born in Clifton to Wylie Lee Barington and Mary Diana Morris. He married Jo Ann Little May 28, 1966 in Dawson, Texas. Carl was a police officer , he retired from Waco PD after 25 years in 1994. He then worked as a Rural Postal Carrier. Carl was a member of the Waco Police Association (Secretary/Treasurer for many years), Tejas Travelers RV group, Volunteer Firefighter/First Responder (Speegleville Volunteer Fire Department). Carl was devoted to family, friends, neighbors and those in need. He was preceded in death by his father Wylie Barrington; mother, Mary D Morse; father-in-law John Little; grandson, Jason Barrington; daughter-in-law, Lisa Barrington.
Survived by his wife, JoAnn Barrington; son and daughter-in-law, Carl
Barrington Jr and Cindy Barrington; daughter and son-in-law, Diane Stroble
and Scott Stroble; son, Wylie Barrington; mother-in-law, Jewell Little
brother, George Barrington; sisters, Kathleen Kunkel, Norma Copeland, Mary Hopkins; grandsons Bobby Cordell, Cody Cordell, Jeremy Barrington, Kenneth Edmiston III, Jonathon Barrington; granddaughters, Victoria Wyland, Samantha Stroble, Candice Edmiston and many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
