Carl Thomas Erskine was called to rest on Saturday. The viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday the 6th of August at the OakCrest Funeral Home in Waco, TX. Burial will be held at the Stranger gravesite in Stranger, TX at 10 AM on Thursday the 7th of August.
He was born to Mary Harlan Erskine and Carl Cavitt Erskine on Feb. 21, 1934 in Marlin, TX and grew up in Stranger, TX. Parents preceded him in death. He graduated from Marlin HS in 1952 then entered the Air Force in 1953 and served 4 years. He worked at General Tire for 28 years. He married Joyce H. McMurray (Erskine) on April 26, 1986.
Tommy leaves his memories to cherish with wife Joyce H. McMurray (Erskine) of Hewitt, TX., Sisters Betty Sprott of Marlin, TX, Lou Traigs of San Antonio, TX, and Brother Don Erskine of Kingsland, TX, also 2 sons Carl Erskine of Hubbard, TX and David Erskine of Groesbeck, TX, and a very special Step-Son David McMurray of Hewitt, TX., 4 Granddaughters, 8 Step-Kids, 20 Step-Grandkids, and 22 Step Great-Grandkids.
He was very well loved and will be greatly missed .
