Carl "Wayne" Sanders

Carl "Wayne" Sanders, 68, of Elm Mott, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Providence Health Center. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, at OakCrest Funeral Home with Trevor Solley officiating. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 29, at the funeral home.

Carl was born April 9, 1944, in Gholson, Texas to William Sir Frances Sanders and Beulah Mae Jones Sanders; He was a graduate of Connally High School and a member of the Kingdom Hall in Waco. He was a loving father to his children and loyal, devoted husband to his wife.

"Wayne" or "Daddy" will be remembered fondly as a best friend, a loving husband, and a good provider. We will all miss our times at the coffee shop or long rides through Gholson and listening to stories of the "Good life" he had with Momma. Daddy, you will be so dearly missed and we praise God for letting us have you as long as we did.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Marian Sanders, his wife of 41 years; six brothers and four sisters.

Carl is survived by his children; son, Gary Sanders; daughters, Carla Lynch, April Sanders and Amy Sanders McWhirter; brother, Carroll Sanders; sister, Irene Mears; and grandchildren, Chance Richards, Hope Sanders-Garcia, Ethan Sanders, Marian Castro and Honor Sanders.
