Carl William Starkey died peacefully Wednesday evening December 10, 2008 at the Woodland Springs Nursing Center in Waco, Texas.
In life, Carl was a soldier, policeman, and private detective for many years. Carl leaves the love of his life, Dorothy, and two sons - Carl William Starkey, Jr. of Cleveland, Ohio, and Richard (Dick) Barnett of Spotsylvania, Virginia, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
It is a blessing to him and to his memory that he recently came to know the Lord and took great joy in his salvation in Christ.
Visitation for Carl will be at OakCrest Funeral Home, Waco, Texas, at 10 AM, Monday, December 15, 2008 with Chapel Service to follow at 11 AM.
Burial will be in the Central Texas Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas.
