Carlos Garcia
August 20, 1961 – September 10, 2005


Carlos Phillip Garcia, 44, of Waco, passed away tragically on Saturday, September 10, 2005. The procession will leave OakCrest Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque, and Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. A memorial video of his life will be shown during visitation.

Carlos was born in Waco on August 20, 1961, and lived here all his life. He graduated from University High School in 1980, and he enjoyed football, baseball, and fishing. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Carlos worked at Owens-Illinois for over 20 years.

He is survived by his sons, Carlos P. Garcia, Jr. and Cidro Garcia of Waco; daughter, Celeste Garcia of Waco; father, Pedro H. Garcia and wife, Lisa of Waco; mother, Olga Enriquez Rea and husband, Ali of Dallas; brothers, Pete Garcia of Waco and Steve Garcia and wife, Janie of Waco; sisters, Carolyn Margaret Garcia of North Richland Hills, Jeanette Garcia of Dallas; and half-sisters, Diane Castanade and husband, Tony of Waco, and Norma Garcia of Waco.

Pallbearers will be Steve Garcia, Adrian Garcia, Marcos Valdez, Michael Valdez, Peter Garcia III, and Richardo Salazar.
