OBITUARY

Carmen Garcia went home to her Lord and Savior on Saturday morning, January 15, 2005.

Rosary will be recited at 7 pm Monday at OakCrest Funeral Home with visitation to follow.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Tuesday, January 18 at St. Francis Catholic Church.

Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

She was born in Asa on July 23, 1928 to Ysidro and Jesusa (Hernandez) Garcia.

She is survived by a life-long companion, Celestino Piedra; her daughters, Lucy Martinez and husband, Manuel, Mary Rodriguez and husband, Arturo, Linda Cardona and husband, Lorenzo, Rebecca Dominguez and husband, Noe, Diana Cardona and husband, Jorge, and Alicia Garcia; her sons Louis Garcia Sr., Joe R. Garcia, Rogelio Garcia, and Rudy Garcia; 26 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Frances Sanchez and Mary Lozano, both of Waco; three brothers, Epifano Garcia of Waco, Pedro Garcia Sr. of Waco, and Cristobal Garcia of Phoenix, AZ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and one sister, two children, three grandsons, three granddaughters and one great granddaughter.

She will be greatly missed and was loved by many. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed playing bingo and having garage sales.

The family wishes a special thanks to Lupe and Patsy (Weda) for all their help and support in her time of need.

Pallbearers will be Gerardo, Manuel Jr., Jose Arturo, Jorge Manuel, Job Daniel, Lorenzo, Gustavo, and Gasper.
