Carol Ann Johnson of Hewitt went home to be with the Lord in heaven, on December 24, 2007, at home surrounded by her loving family. Graveside services will be held at Waco Memorial Park on Saturday, December 29, 2007 at 2 p.m. Please join us for a service to celebrate Carol's life at the Highland Baptist Church, 3014 Maple Ave., on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. The Rev. Jim Gray and the Rev. Suzanne Smith will officiate.

Friends may come by OakCrest Funeral Home between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Friday, and 8 a.m. and 12 noon Saturday for viewing and to sign the register book.

Carol was born on December 18, 1943, in Marlin, TX. She was raised in Bruceville, TX by her loving family. She retired from TXU Electric after 25 years and retired from Baylor University in January 2007 after seven years of service.

Carol married Bob Johnson on June 15, 1963 and moved to Hewitt where she has lived and raised her family. Her most treasured moments came with her family whom she adored. She was able to embrace her family, serve them, teach them, and care for them. She leaves a legacy of love, friendship, kindness, and courage. She loved her family and friends unconditionally as she reflected the love of her Savior Jesus Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wade Hampton and Aimee Grubbs Dawson; sister, Jennifer Hall; and brothers, John and Wade Lee Dawson.

Survivors include husband, Bob Johnson; sons, Brandon and wife Vanessa, Barry and wife Christie; sister, Willie Morris and husband Bill; granddaughter, Isabella Grace Johnson; brother-in-law, Jack Hall; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Providence Hospice at 4830 Lakewood Dr., Suite 2, Waco, TX 76710.
