March 23, 1935 – Oct 8, 2024
Carol Rowell, 89, passed away suddenly October 8th, 2024 at Providence Hospital in the Presence of family.
A celebration of Carol’s life will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 12th at Southside Church of Christ, 4800 S. Loop 340 Frontage Rd., Robinson, TX 76706. Pastor Bobby Driver will be officiating.
Carol was born in Ralls, Texas on March 23, 1935. Carol was one of four children and was the apple of her father’s eye. Carol cared for her father after her mother’s death at a young age of 19. This is just a small example of Carol’s true nature. She was kind and life-giving to all she met. She always thought of others before herself. Carol was beautiful inside and out.
At 24, Carol married the love of her life, Donald Rowell. During their marriage, Carol bore two beautiful girls and twin boys. She loved fashion and trying new clothes. Her first paycheck as a young woman, was spent on all new clothes from Dunlap’s. Over the course of her life, her love for fashion and clothes developed into a passion for thrifting for those she cared for.
After spending time in Lubbock, she and Donald moved with their family to Waco in 1977. She was a beloved member of Southside Church of Christ and served the Lord faithfully.
Carol is survived by her loving children: Angela and husband, Brady Tallman; Tanya and husband, Dale Newnam; Dayne and wife, Anna Rowell; Don and wife, Terri Rowell; and sister, Bobbie Hall. Carol is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
All of Carol’s family, relatives, and friends will miss her loving spirit and her servant’s heart.
