Carol Treese

Carol Helene Treese (1937 - 2023)

In the early hours of August 25, 2023, in Waco, Texas, the world said farewell to a beacon of faith and love, Carol Treese. Born on April 19, 1937, Carol's life was a testament to love, loyalty, and the unwavering grace of God.

Carol's faith in God was the cornerstone upon which she built her life. Her relationship with the Lord shaped her character and influenced every decision she made. Through life's highs and lows, her trust in God remained steadfast, and she was a shining example of what it means to walk in faith and live a life of devotion.

Married to the love of her life, Harry, in 1955, they shared 51 years of unwavering love, partnership, and mutual faith until his passing in 2006. Together, they nurtured a beautiful family that includes their children Chip & Dinell, Steve and Lauri, Diann and Jeff, and their six beloved grandchildren: Chris, Sandi, Kyle, Nick, Krysta, and Ryan. With 10 great-grandchildren, Carol's legacy is one of boundless love, faith, and family unity.

Professionally, Carol was a force. As the Publisher of American Classifieds from 1989 to 2019, she showcased dedication and leadership. Her philanthropic spirit was acknowledged when she was named Philanthropist of the Year in Waco, TX, in 2010.

She was a matriarch in the truest sense. Her kind-hearted, giving, and cheerful nature made everyone feel special. Carol was passionate, loyal, beautiful, generous, understanding, and above all, loving. Those who knew her always found warmth in her embrace and solace in her words.

An active member of St. Jerome's Catholic Church, Carol contributed tirelessly to her community and church. Involved in initiatives like New Horizons and the Women's Society, she sought ways to give back and serve the Lord. Carol's generosity, deeply rooted in her faith, knew no bounds; she was a regular donor to many charities, ensuring her impact was felt far and wide.

Carol was passionate and fiercely loyal, especially to Harry. Theirs was a love story interwoven with their shared faith, one that will be remembered by all who knew them. Today, they are reunited, continuing their journey together with God.

Her memory will forever be a guiding star, reminding us of the power of faith, love, loyalty, and the joy of a life anchored in God's grace.
