Carole Walker
Carole J. Walker, 80, of Waco, passed away Friday, November 22, 2013. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Riesel Cemetery with Rev. Brad Brittain officiating. Visitation will be 3 – 5 p.m. Sunday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Carole was born May 30, 1933 in Marlin to W.F. and Clara (Platte) McFarlin. Carole was Valedictorian of the Class of 1951 at Riesel High School. She graduated from Baylor University and taught 31 years, first at Navasota and then at Alta Vista Elementary School in Waco.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother.
Survivors are her husband of 50 years, Horace Eugene Walker, and a brother, Forrest McFarlin of Austin.
The family thanks Dr. Bond Browder, nurses Missey and Katrina, and all the caregivers of 1 East at Quality Care of Waco, especially Yvonne.
