Caroline F. Boney left this earth peacefully on September 5, 2010, to be reunited with her Lord and Savior, her husband, family, and friends.
A devoted wife and mother, Caroline met the love of her life, Joe Elton, during World War II. Married in Yuma, Arizona on May 8, 1944, Caroline and Joe spent 64 years loving one another and raising three sons. Joe preceded her in death September 6, 2008.
What pleased Caroline most was that her family spent time together enjoying one of her home-cooked meals as they laughed and shared memories around the dining room table.
In addition to caring for the needs of her family, Caroline was an accomplished gardener. Many in her neighborhood paused to admire her meticulously manicured lawn, daylilies, violets, and pots of overflowing begonias.
Above all, Caroline was a generous and kindhearted person who put others' needs and desires above her own. Her delight was delighting others and because of this she will be truly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Aniceto Fernandez and Leticia Doliero Fernandez; three brothers; and two sisters.
She is survived by three sons, Michael Boney and wife, Amber; Timothy Boney and wife, Danielle, and Patrica Boney and wife, Cindy; and three grandchildren, Corey, Matt, and Aaron Boney.
The Boney family would like to extend their sincerest appreciation to Ernie Valdez for his support and care of Caroline and Joe.
