Carroll Dean Brown, 75 of Lorena passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2005 at a local hospital. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Silverton Cemetery in Silverton, Texas (north of Amarillo).
Visitation will be Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
He was born in Silverton to Herbert R. and Cecil L. (Myers) Brown. Carroll was united in marriage to Joan Cox on September 3, 1955 in Lubbock.
He graduated from Texas Tech in 1957, was a Marine serving during the Korean war, member of Shriner Washington Lodge #1117 in Dallas and worked for the Texas Farm Bureau for twenty-three years.
Carroll is survived by his wife Joan Brown of Lorena; sons, Christopher D. Brown of Dallas and Robert M. Brown and wife Polly of Marlin; daughter, Tracey Wilson and husband Garrick of Garland; uncle Clyde Myers and wife Valadee of Amarillo.
