Carroll Cecil Heath 73, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, February 10, in a local hospital.
Services will be 3:00 pm Tuesday February 13, 2007 at OakCrest Funeral Home 4520 Bosque Blvd. with Rev. Curtis Holland officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be Monday 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
Carroll was born January 28, 1934 in Waco to the late Carl and Roxie Heath. He grew up in Valley Mills, and graduated from high school there in 1952. In 1955, he married the love of his life, Charlene Edmonds, and they resided in Waco where Carroll was employed with Progress Laundry for 27 years.
To their union was born a very devoted son, Charles Cecil, who preceded Carroll in death on November 28, 2005. He was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Richard Collins.
Carroll loved to work as long as his health permitted, and he enjoyed being with people. He was an avid sports fan, and he was a faithful member of Western Heights Baptist Church in Waco.
Survivors include his faithful and loving wife of 51 years, Charlene; a sister, Bettye Heath Holland and husband, Curtis of Waco; and a sister-in-law, Berneice Collins of El Campo, and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Wade Cottrell, Randy Collins, Rickey Collins, Ronny Collins, Dale Crowell, Kyle McLaughlin, Jeff Ryan, and Jeff Henson.
Honorary pallbearers will be William Alsup, Oscar Gates, Lawrence Lumpkin, Tommy Smith, Gene Walker, Joe Ingram, and members of Waco Senior Kiwanians Wednesday Morning Group.
