Casandra Rodriguez

Casandra Rodriguez, 37, of Waco, Texas went to be with the Lord Saturday, May 18, 2019. A service to honor and celebrate her life will be held at 10 am on Saturday, May 25 at OakCrest Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, May 24 from 6 to 8 pm with a prayer service beginning at 7pm at the funeral home.

Casandra was born on July 23, 1981 in Waco to Dianna Rodriguez. She was a homemaker and a wonderful mother to her children, Ariana and Lenny. Casandra, or, as she was lovingly known as, “Baby Cakes”, loved spending time with her family and making everyone laugh. She enjoyed baking and singing with her amazing voice. Sitting by the lake and watching the sunset was one of Casandra’s favorite pastimes.
Casandra was preceded in death by her grandfather, David Rodriguez, Sr.

Surviving her is her mother, Dianna Rodriguez and partner, Ronnie Coronado; grandmother, Susie Rodriguez; daughter, Ariana; son, Lenny; sister, Alexandra Rodriquez and husband, Timothy Rodriquez, Jr.; aunts, Deborah Turner, Yvonne Hudson and husband, Tim Hudson, Sr.; uncles, David Rodriguez, Jr. and Ronnie Rodriguez, Sr. and his wife, Freddie. Casandra also leaves behind her niece Khloe; nephew, TJ; and numerous cousins that she was very close to.

Serving as pallbearers are Ronnie Rodriguez, Sr., Ronnie Rodriguez, Jr., Jesse Ray Rodriguez, Matthew Rodriguez, Brandon Turner, Marcus Rodriguez, Chris Sais, and Tim Hudson.
