Cathy, also known as Granny, gave her whole life to her family.

Cathy, 87, of Waco, passed away peacefully with her son, daughter, and grandson by her bedside at Providence Hospital. She will always be deeply loved and will forever be missed.

Cathy married Richard Ramirez, Sr. in 1969. They had 3 children, Mia, Richard Jr., and Katherine. She was blessed to become a Granny of 6 grandchildren. Angel Julian, Abigail Juliet, Jacob Daniel, Alexander Anthony, Mila Catherine, Anabela Rose, and 2 great-grandchildren, Bentley Charles and Gracie Penelope. We give all glory to God for the legacy she was blessed with.

Cathy loved her cats, especially her "Pinky", after Pinky passed a few years back she never forgot her Pinky. Even after her memory started fading. She would always say, " I remember when I would give Pinky her bottle, she would always want to hold it herself" and laugh every time. Now they are together again.

Cathy was very special to others. She had a very close friend, Janie Casiano, she talked and texted with her almost every day. Janie would check on her and take her places that she needed and wanted to go. She has been a blessing to the family through this hard time with prayers, bringing food the day Cathy passed, and checking in on the family these past few days. Thank you, Janie for taking good care of her and God bless you.

Cathy was preceded in death by her mother, Antonia Castillo, who passed away when Cathy was 2 years old, and her twin, Alexander Castillo who passed away at birth. She longed to be with both of them.

To my mommy, my heart is broken without you. I will miss you and think about you every day. My heart will not be whole until I am with God and you again. I love you so much, always and forever Mommy, your daughter Kathy.

She is survived by all 3 of her children; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sons-in-law, Allen Powell and Lawrence Quinton; daughter-in-law, Lulu; and grandson-in-law, Mike Valdez.

Her great-granddaughter Gracie Valdez was born this year, a gift from God for our pain. She would always say how beautiful Gracie was every time she would see her. Thank you, God, for our beautiful, little gift. Who her Granny truly adored and was blessed to meet.
