Cathy Dorsey

Cathy Nix-Dorcey, 50, of Waco, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2006.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at OakCrest Funeral Home with burial at Lorena Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday. A memorial video honoring her life will be shown.

Cathy was born in Waco to Margie (Bagley) Nix and the late Douglas Nix. She graduated from Waco High in 1973. She was an insurance clerk at Blue Cross, and was a Baptist. She was a talented pianist, a former Girl Scout, and she liked to paint crafts and sew.

She enjoyed watching sports, especially baseball and Aggie football. She was a loving mother, daughter, and sister who cared for her family, and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her father and a son, Daniel.

She leaves a son, Michael; daughter, Alissa; mother, Margie Nix, all of Waco; brother, Douglas Nix Sr. and nephew, Douglas Nix Jr., both of Lorena.

Pallbearers will be Doug Nix Sr., Douglas Nix Jr., Larry Nix, Danny Bagley, Jonathan Myrick, Nicky Nix, Mickey Bagley and Danny Nix.

Honorary pallbearers will be Leigh Ann Lyon and Jamie Walts.
