Cecil Ochoa, 85, of McGregor, Texas passed away on June 12, 2023, in Waco, Texas.
Visitation will be from 6:00 – 7:00 pm on June 23, 2023, at OakCrest Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am Saturday, June 24, 2023, at OakCrest Funeral Home with Pastor Albert Fuentes Jr. of Calvary Chapel Waco, Officiating. A burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery with Military Honors.

He was born on November 22, 1937, in Downsville, Texas to Mr. Willie Ochoa and Mrs. Consuelo Gonzales Ochoa.

Cecil was great at many things, but most of all he was the best Dad, Papa, and Great Papa Cecil in the world; Dad knew how to enjoy life and he lived life to the fullest, he fought the good fight and won the race. Now in store for him is The Crown of Righteousness.

He served in the Airforce and was a proud Veteran. Cecil met Shirley in January of 1961 and they married soon after and had three children, Brent, Cheryl, and Dianna. He was the Vice President of Refrigeration Sales at Tersco-United Refrigeration until he retired in 1999. He enjoyed spending time with his family, including his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Field Trails, and riding horses.

Cecil was preceded in death by his parents, his son Brent Ochoa, sister Lily Chavez, and his brothers, Bill Ochoa, Sam Ochoa Sr., Charlie Ochoa Sr., Ernest Ochoa Sr., and Johnny Ochoa Sr.

He is survived by his sister, Sandy Gonzales, Shirley Landrum Ochoa, special friend Judi Courtney, daughters; Cheryl Ochoa, and Dianna Ochoa-Mosley and husband Butch; grandchildren Christopher Ochoa and wife Terra and their daughter Blakeleigh; Rachel O’Connor and husband Johnathan, their children; Brentley, Lennon, and Walker; Cecil Mosley and wife Kortni, their children Cayton, Henlee, and Cooper; Stanton Mosley and wife Skye, their children Keeslie, Sawyer, and Stetson; Lauren Owen and husband Trevor, their children; Logan, Jax, Braylyn, Brixyn, and Braetyn, many loved nieces and nephews, and several dear friends.
