Cesario "Chayo" Ramon, 64, of Waco, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2012 after fighting a brave battle with cancer, strong until the end. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, January 7 at OakCrest Funeral Home. Visitation will be 4:00 - 6:30 p.m. Friday, January 6, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd, with a prayer service starting at 5 p.m.
Chayo was born February25, 1947 in Waco, TX to his parents, Manuel and Grace (Carbajal) Ramon. Living his childhood in Waco, Ramon graduated from Waco High School. After being married, he moved to Ft. Worth for ten years, before returning to Waco. Chayo loved life and loved to be with his friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Manuel Ramon Sr.
Chayo is survived by his loving mother, Grace Ramon; sons, Matt Ramon and wife, Emma, of Wylie, Alec Ramon, of Dallas; sister, Olga R. Garcia and husband, Peter, of Azle; brothers, Edward Ramon and wife, Gloria, of Grand Prairie, Manuel Ramon Jr. and wife, Christina, of Waco, Rick Ramon, and Albert Ramon; granddaughter, Olivia Ramon, of Wylie; numerous family members, and dear friends.
Pallbearers will be Rudy Duron, Ernest Sanchez, Edward Garcia, Lupe Ramirez, Eddie Ramon, Pete Garcia, and Ricky Ramon.
