Charles Franklin

Charles “Chuck” Franklin, 41, passed away October 16, 2013 in Kemp, Texas. A memorial service will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, November 10, 2013 at Western Heights Baptist Church in Waco. Burial with full military honors was held 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2013 at Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery.

Chuck was born in Waco at Hillcrest Hospital July 20, 1972 to Denise Franklin. He was the grandson of Everett Lee and Mary Willis who raised him and educated him. He attended Waco Public Schools and graduated from Richfield High School where he played drums in the band.

While in the Navy, Chuck served with the rescue swimmers. He was medically discharged in 1993 due to Diabetes Type 1.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his grandparents, Everett Lee and Mary Willis; his mother, Denise Riley; his aunts, Leslie McBride, Pam House and Ronda Willis; his children, Everett and Emily Watson; and several cousins.
