OBITUARY

Cheryle Yvonne Sutton, R.N., age 56, of Lorena, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, went to be with her Lord at 11 p.m. on Sunday, September 12, 2004.

A Memorial Service will be at held at 12 noon Thursday, September 16, 2004, at the Lorena United Methodist Church with the Rev. Danny Niedecken officiating. Visitation with her family will follow the service.

Cheryle was a graduate of Midway High School and received her nursing degree from MCC. She was the Director of Nursing at several nursing homes and worked at Hillcrest Baptist Hospital. Cheryle was a blessing to those she served and felt she was called to that ministry.

In addition, Cheryle was an active member of Lorena United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Bell Choir and over the years served on many committees and taught Sunday School. Everyone who knew Cheryle could see the Light of Jesus in her face. She will be greatly missed!

Cheryle's mother, Lyla Tyler Smith, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband, James Allen Sutton; three sons, Daniel Sutton and his wife Maria, Jeffery Sutton and his wife Andrea, and James Sutton and his wife Brandy; her father, Daniel Smith and his wife Doris; a sister, Barbara Smith and her husband Ernie; and six grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that anyone wishing to celebrate Cheryle's life make a contribution to the American Cancer Society.
