Chester L. Williams

Chester Loyd Williams, 82, passed away Monday, February 9, 2015. Memorial Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, February 12, 2015 with Rev. Curtis Holland officiating at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Chester Loyd Williams was born November 26, 1932 to Davis “Pa Will” and Josephine (Shankel) Williams in Ennis, TX. Upon graduating from Ennis High School he enlisted in the Army and served from 1951-1953. He married Margaret Jean Middleton in 1958 and they spent several wonderful years together. Chester worked as a Laboratory Analyst at General Portland in Dallas, TX, and Miami, FL until his retirement after 33 years. He would work several other jobs after retiring, even as a Projectionist at a movie theatre in Florida where he lived for short time. He also worked as a Security Officer for both Eagle and Star Security services until he was 77 years old. Chester enjoyed fishing, visiting Lake Tawakoni, watching Sanford and Son, going to the movies, dancing with his lovely wife, and most of all talking to his brother JQ about the good ol’ days. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Jean (Middleton) Williams; sister, Bobbye Christian; brothers, JQ Williams, and Macel “Babe” Williams.
He is survived by his son, Kirk Williams; step-son, Doug Wells; grandchildren, Kristie and Michelle Wells and their families; niece, Carol Plant and husband, Tom; and nephews, Russell and Curt Williams.
