Christine Dishner
Christine Haik Dishner, 87, of Waco, a loving mother and grandmother, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2008 after a long illness. Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd., with the Rev. Chuck Treadwell officiating. Visitation with the family will follow the service.
Christine was born February 2, 1921 in Waco to Haleen and Mary (Bashara) Haik. She graduated from Waco High School and 4C College, and had worked as a payroll clerk at Connally Air Force Base. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
She was survived by a son, David Dishner and wife, Shirley; grandchildren, Bryan Dishner and wife, Brandi; sister-in-law, Hazel Haik; nieces, Paula Sais, Becky Haik, and Carolyn Haik; and a nephew, Danny Haik.
The family appreciates all the loving care provided by the Greenview Manor staff and thanks Betty Khoury for giving mom communion over the years.
